Introduction to The Grid and Globus

This article introduces and explains the Computational Grid concept and Globus, a toolkit for working with the Grid. The information presented is derived from grid and Globus training provided by staff in the NLANR Distributed Applications Support Team (DAST). DAST training is offered throughout the year at different locations, often in conjunction with networking and high-performance conferences.
